Identity Fund Managers vision is to build and expand on Identity Partner’s existing investment experience, to become a leading black women led Private Equity (PE) fund manager with strong transformation and impact investing credentials.
To build out a platform of PE funds focused on key strategic growth sectors within the South African and regional economy.
Identity Property Fund (established)
The vision is to invest in a property portfolio of commercially attractive property investments based on location, rentals yields, credit quality and term of leases and value creation opportunities with strong ESG and transformation agenda to enhance environmental impact and B-BBEE initiatives in terms of ownership, supply chain and management capability of its investee companies.
We invest in established private businesses that align with our transformation objectives, fostering socio-economic development alongside financial success.
Previously, Identity Fund Managers had a black women and youth enterprise fund called Identity Development Fund (now called IDF Capital) which provided SME and early-stage venture capital to almost 100 businesses financed, 70% of which were women-owned.
IDF Capital operates on a stand-alone basis in the SME financing space and has a Pan African strategy since 2018.
IFM will create value through improving environmental, social & corporate governance, facilitating access to technical expertise, facilitating access to quality and cost-effective inputs, corporate finance and market access support.
Future Identity Funds focused on strategic growth sectors
The vision is to offer a platform for Private equity growth fund/s focused on investing in innovative, cash generative businesses operating in impact orientated sectors which have previously been under-represented from a diversity perspective.
To combine funding and B-BBEE credentials with valuable post investment support through active engagement in key growth areas to assist businesses achieve both financial returns and socio and environmental goals.
